DUNAJ HUMAN RIGHTS ACADEMY ‘NO PLACE FOR HATE’

17-18 October 2020

The ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association became a partner of the Human Rights Academy ‘No Place for Hate’ organized by the Danube Dialogue Institute Foundation.

With the effect of globalization, human rights issues are increasing their importance. There are severe violations of human rights in different parts of the world. Despite the international law on human rights and freedoms, people still suffer from slavery, torture, inequality, discrimination, and hate speech.

However, we believe that the younger generation will be more educated and create a better world for human beings all over the world. Our solution is to spread awareness and encourage people to act on these critical issues.

We aim to answer the question of ‘How can we act?’ and ‘What can we do to prevent human rights violations?’ We aim to get academic knowledge from the people who have expertise and experience in this field during the seminars. The topics that are going to be presented in the seminars are: law and the psychology of hate crime, hate crime from the media perspective, fighting with the hate crime, and education of young generations. We will be glad to meet future human rights activists and plan a better future together.

Among participants will be Dr. Anna Tatar from the ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association who will present the report ‘The Virus of Hate: Brown Book of the Epidemic’. The report documents acts of racism, xenophobia and discrimination which have occurred in the context of the coronavirus in Poland in recent months.
